Terms of Service

1. Who this is between

These terms are between you, the person or company using Replaycat, and Replaycat, the operator of this service. By creating an account you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may do so.

2. What Replaycat does

You install our snippet on a website you control. It records how visitors use that site and lets you replay those visits, see click heatmaps, and read basic statistics. We provide the service as it is described on this site and as it exists at the time you use it.

3. Your responsibilities

• Only install the snippet on sites you own or are authorised to instrument.
• Tell your visitors that their use of your site is recorded, in your own privacy policy, and obtain consent where your law requires it. We give you a consent gate and masking controls; using them is your call and your duty.
• Do not use Replaycat to capture passwords, payment details, health records, or other sensitive personal data. Typed input is masked by default. Do not defeat that.
• Do not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to access another customer's data.
• Keep your login credentials to yourself. Anyone with your session can see your recordings.

4. Data and privacy

For recordings made through your account, you are the data controller and we are your processor: it is your data, we hold it for you. We do not sell it, mine it, or share it with anyone. Details of what is captured and what is never captured are in the privacy page, which forms part of these terms.

5. Plans, payment and limits

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing section and exclude any tax we are required to add. Each plan includes a monthly session allowance and a retention period: Free 1,000 sessions and 7 days; Starter 10,000 sessions and 30 days; Growth 50,000 sessions and 90 days; Scale 200,000 sessions and 180 days. Once the allowance is used, new visits stop being recorded until the period resets or you upgrade. Recordings older than the retention period are deleted automatically and cannot be restored.

6. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time from the billing page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. We do not pro-rate part months. If something goes badly wrong on our side, email us within 30 days and we will refund the affected month.

7. Suspension and termination

You may delete a site, or your whole account, whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, that is not paid, or that threatens the stability of the service. Unless the law requires otherwise, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. After termination your recordings are deleted.

8. Availability

We work to keep Replaycat running, but we do not promise a specific uptime figure and there is no service level agreement. We may change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of that month.

9. Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and cannot exclude. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account owners at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Replaycat after that means you accept the new version.
